Still entering holiday prices on every platform separately? How to update them all at once
· Hostopus · 5 min read
A holiday is coming up. You raised the price on Airbnb and left Booking.com for the next day. In between, a Booking.com reservation came in and the holiday night sold at your regular rate. You don't get that night back: according to Airbnb's help page, price changes only apply to future reservations, not to ones that are already pending or confirmed.
In this article we've gathered Turkey's busy periods for 2027 from official sources, walked through how to update prices by hand, and shown how to do the same job in Hostopus in one step.
2027 dates to price ahead of time
The dates below come from the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) list of religious days for 2027, the Ministry of National Education (MEB) 2026-2027 school calendar, and Law No. 2429 on National Holidays and Public Holidays:
- Mid-year school break: Monday 25 January 2027 – Friday 5 February 2027.
- Ramadan Feast (Ramazan Bayramı): Eve on Monday 8 March 2027, feast on 9–11 March 2027 (Tuesday–Thursday). Under the law, the holiday lasts 3.5 days starting at 13:00 on the eve.
- Second-term school break: 8–12 March 2027. The school break falls in the same week as the Ramadan Feast.
- Sacrifice Feast (Kurban Bayramı): Eve on Saturday 15 May 2027, feast on 16–19 May 2027 (Sunday–Wednesday). The holiday lasts 4.5 days starting at 13:00 on the eve.
- Summer: The 2026-2027 school year ends on Friday 25 June 2027.
- New Year: 1 January is one of the public holidays listed in the law.
Add your area's festivals, conferences and local events to these dates. Since the holiday starts on the eve, include the eve when you set your date range.
Doing it by hand
- Map out the year. Write down the periods above along with the busy dates in your own area.
- Decide each period's price. Settle on what you'll charge for which night before you open any platform. If the same number goes everywhere, pinning it down first makes the rest easier.
- Update your Airbnb calendar. Select the nights and enter a custom price. According to Airbnb, a custom price overrides your default nightly price, Smart Pricing and any weekend adjustment.
- Enter the same dates again on Booking.com and every other platform. Each platform has its own calendar screen and way of selecting dates, so you pick the dates all over again.
- Check. When you're done, open a few dates on each platform and confirm the price shows correctly.
Why it gets hard
With one home on one platform, this takes a few minutes. If you sell two homes on three platforms and have five busy periods a year, you're entering the same price in thirty places. When demand arrives earlier than expected and you want to raise the price again, you start over. Each platform's calendar opens on its own screen and you select the dates again every time. Most of your time goes into moving between screens rather than thinking about the price.
The real risk is forgetting. When one platform keeps the old price, your home looks cheap there for the holiday night, and a reservation from that platform is confirmed at the old rate. Switching between calendars also makes it easy to pick the wrong date range or mistype a number.
Setting holiday prices in Hostopus
Hostopus works through a channel manager. Prices go from Hostopus to the platforms you've connected, such as Airbnb, Booking.com, Agoda or Vrbo. We explain what a channel manager does in this article.
- Select the dates. Open your home in the calendar and tap days, or press and drag to select them. While dragging, the calendar scrolls by itself when you reach the top or bottom edge, so you can select several months in one move. You can also add days that aren't next to each other, for example only Friday and Saturday nights across the summer.
- Enter the price. Tap Price in the panel at the bottom. If the selected days have different prices, the screen shows you the lowest and highest. The price you enter is written to every selected night, in your home's currency.
- Save. Hostopus sends the new price through Channex to every connected platform. Sending starts in the background the moment you save, so you don't wait on the screen. How soon the price appears on each platform's page depends on that platform's processing time.
Saving a price changes only the price. Your home's minimum stay, check-in and check-out rules, and the preparation days between bookings stay as they are. If your selection includes a booked night or a preparation day, the Price button is disabled, so you can't accidentally change the price of a night that's already sold. If you have bookings during the holiday week, select only the free nights.
If you have more than one home, you do this once in each home's calendar; however many platforms you use, one save per home is enough. A team member you've given pricing permission can do the same from their own account.
In short
Setting holiday, school-break, summer and New Year prices once at the start of the year means fewer mistakes than going platform by platform at the last minute. Turkey's official 2027 dates are already out. If you'd like to enter prices once per home and send them to every connected platform, you can try Hostopus free for 60 days.
